Despite the increasing use of internet phone programs like Skype, there is still a need for traditional conference call lines. While there is plethora of paid services out there, I’ve found Instant Conference to do everything I need… for free.
The service has no advertising, and lets you run calls with up to 150 callers for 6 hours per call. All of the tools to manage the call are available on their website, so you can mute, boot, and record the call easily.
The access number is long distance, but they do offer a toll-free number for 7 cents per minute. They will be rolling out a Web Conferencing add on for webinars in the near future, but I prefer to pair my Instant Conference number with the free webinar service DimDim.
